practice
My practice begins with observation — with noticing how relationships between people, objects, images and space shape what we see, understand and value. I am interested in how we shape and interpret what surrounds us — and how it, in turn, can shape the way we perceive, behave and relate to the world.
The form of each project develops from what I am exploring. It may become an object, a garment, a painting, an installation, a performance, an event or a digital experience. Medium, material and process are chosen as the work develops.
Authorship, for me, does not mean determining a final meaning. I can create a form, set conditions and make an intervention, but what happens next depends on encounter, context and the people who experience and interpret it.
