Better late than never!

It´s funny how easy it is to loose a track of time while being on the edge of fantasy and reality, just exactly what happened to Alice as well… Though the film “Alice in Wonderland” was personally a little disappointment, exept the Tim Burton part, the theme has obvioulsy touched and inspired not only me, but the whole world.. and in a way, it´s quite interesting to see how differently it can be used for different purposes… However, my own is still the dearest. :)

The triumph of the two days full of shows was my and Ülle Suurhans-Pohjanheimo surreal wedding gown gala show that can be described as an opposition of White and Red Queen, an opposition between my collection of complex cut, high-tech fabric, national embroidery and Ülle´s luxurious creation inspired by the ´60s. And of course to make the show even more surprising, we used two grooms in the end instead of the regular couple, which brought a lot of the talk of the town. But isn´t that the main goal, that we as fashion designers aim for? ..to be noticed..

But the provoking show wasn´t really the end of the project, I was also given a window for my collection that stays there till April at least… This is my very first own window and it`s just impossible to describe the feeling that it gives me. From some of the feedback that I´ve already got, I heard that the window dressing is especially loved by children, who don´t let their parents pass by it without stopping in front of it for a while :D… and if already children, known as the most honest and the most harsh judges, like the display, then all the rest is possible as well, just by pushing the right buttons!
